Teresa L. Staley

Teresa L. Staley is a Houston- based artist, born in Australia and raised in the Houston area.

Teresa completed a degree from The Art Institute, graduating with honors with a degree in Visual Communications. While in school, she learned about creating and building a business of painting fine arts and murals.  After college graduation, Teresa then attained a position as art director for a Houston magazine.

Following her education and career position, she traveled extensively throughout America, Europe, Australia and Asia. Teresa also completed many art projects in the U.S. and in Belize. “During this period, I found inspiration for the continual development of my art in these travels. I got immersed in other cultures with all the colors, unique designs, architecture, interesting faces and personalities of the people from other lands.”

Teresa has a diverse, creative background which consists largely of a career as a muralist and decorative artist. Her works can be found in some of the most exclusive homes and businesses in Texas.

Currently, Teresa is involved in many art shows displaying her fine art in the Houston area and collaborating with other artists. She has an art studio at The Silos on Sawyer. Recently, she won a 2nd place award for participation in the Biennale Peschiera del Garda International Art Competition. She was featured on a television show displaying her art. Staley’s eclectic style merges romantism and fantasy with a dreamlike quality.

“My art is continually evolving found through life experiences, observations, and experimentation with many different mediums. My greatest joy is to paint, draw, design and create in many different forms without limits. My life’s work has been in the arts, this is what energizes me and what I know and love best.”
