Holli Thomas

Holli May Thomas is a native Texan and hails from a long gene pool of creative characters.  She started drawing as a little whipper snapper and gravitated to oil as her chosen medium until landing in the mixed media harbor.  During her thirties, she learned construction techniques from her dad during a home remodel and gazed at all the hardware in her hand. She had an epiphany and decided to recycle nails, screws, and washers from demolition in her artwork. She started disassembling other items such as broken appliances to locate more objects she could use in her productions.

Holli is a great believer in the power of a positive attitude and thinking outside of the box.  She finds inspiration for her art through adventure and outdoor activity.  She wants you to experience joy when you see her artwork and to be stimulated to greet another day on this side of the dirt with two thumbs up, then run outside and pop a wheelie on your bicycle. She hopes that her energetic use of color and objects exemplifies this optimistic message and creates a smile.

In a previous nerdy chapter of her life, Holli used to play an online game called World of Warcraft and Infraredhead was her character’s name. She could throw fire and ride the wind. This is what she intends to do with her art. Come join her! Holli currently lives in Houston with her husband and three rescue dogs in a home full of creative magic.
