Nataliya Scheib

Nataliya Scheib is naturally known for her elaborate and meticulous collages and most recently for her Ukrainian style painting “Roses and Hearts on the Blue Sky” that has been a part of Art Blocks Houston and was installed on the façade of 901 Main Street, Houston from July 1st through October 15, 2016.

Nataliya Scheib is a Ukrainian-American contemporary artist active in collage, assemblage, and paintings, as well as site-specific works. Nataliya had completed a 4-year structured classical art training, received a BA in Architecture, and earned a Master’s in City and Urban Planning as part of her Civil Engineering Degree with a minor in Landscape Architecture.

She has also received several awards and honors, and a Special Recognition Award for Outstanding Art for her oil paintings. Her work has been included in many publications including Houston Downtown Magazine, spring 2016 and ArtAscent Magazine, amongst other publications. Nataliya was selected among 79 artists of the United States to be included in the Publication Art Buzz “The 2014 Collection, Volume 7.”

Nataliya’s work has been included in a number of art exhibitions in the U.S. and Internationally in Romania and Berlin. Some of the national places she has exhibited include: Katy Contemporary Art Museum, Katy, TX; Lawndale Art Center in Houston, Texas; North Gallery Department of Art and Design of San Jacinta College in Houston, Texas; Fine Art Museum in Gadsden, Alabama; Nicolet Gallery at Nicolet College, Wisconsin, Dacia Gallery, New York City, NY, among others. Additionally, Nataliya’s work has been selected for the exhibitions by National Association of Women Artists; Oil Painters of America; and National Oil and Acrylic Painters Society.

Nataliya also participates in International artist residencies. She was selected by “Autocenter: Intensive Art Residency” in Berlin in the summer of 2015 and by Berlin Art Institute, where she also participated in a public art intervention in East Berlin, Germany.
